Recipient Expectations

What to Expect

If your physician has recommended that you proceed with donor Oocyte and/or surrogacy treatment to achieve your goal of having a family. In an effort to give you a rough timeline for treatment, we have included the following letter to help clarify the process. This process can take a minimum of three to four months to complete.

  1. First, your home office nurse will work with you and your partner to complete the necessary pre IVF workup requirements and make sure they are current.
  2. Once the testing is complete and normal then you will be advised to consult with the Donor Coordinator for agency selection process. Then you will work with the agency to secure a donor/ Surrogate.
  3. Once a donor/surrogate has been secured, she will work with one of our IVF Donor Coordinators at our River North Clinic. They will ensure that all the necessary testing and appointments are completed.
  4. Once your donor/surrogate testing is completed and normal, the donor coordinator will contact you to review protocol, medication and a definite timeline for the IVF procedures.

This process can be very tedious and stressful. Remember that all of the above must be completed to proceed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your home office nurse prior to being matched with a donor/surrogate.

We are here to assist you in achieving your goal and will make every attempt to make this process as stress free as possible.
