Dr. Angeline N. Beltsos
Glenview  |  Chicago/River North
Dr. Beltsos is Medical Director of IVF Chicago - River North Program and one of the managing partners of FCI. She is double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University, followed by a fellowship in REI at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She the REI Division Education Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs of Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Lutheran General Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital Chicago. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois at Chicago.  Dr. Beltsos is the FCI Clinical Research Divisional Director and participates in a number of research projects and scientific publications. She has received numerous awards in teaching and has been honored as ‘top doctor' from Castle Connelly for several years. She speaks internationally, nationally and locally on many topics of REI and is chairperson of the Midwest Reproductive Symposium.  Her areas of interest include fertility in women over 40, PCOs, PGD and recurrent pregnancy loss. A relationship with patients that includes compassionate and dialogue is an important aspect of her care.

Dr. Eve C. Feinberg
Hoffman Estates  |  Highland Park

Dr. Feinberg is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, and completed a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institutes of Health.  Dr. Feinberg has published over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She is nationally recognized in the field of Reproductive Medicine and was invited to serve on the Editorial Board of Fertility and Sterility and on The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology Practice Committee.  Dr. Feinberg is an exceptionally compassionate physician and has received both the Patients’ Choice and Best Doctors’ Awards.  Dr. Feinberg takes great pride in providing outstanding, personalized care to each individual and couple.


Dr. Laurence A. Jacobs

Dr. Jacobs completed medical school and Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Northwestern University then completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Mayo Clinic in 1988. Since 1995, he has been the Section Head: Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Jacobs has authored numerous articles for journals, books, and newspapers. He has been honored as ‘top doctor' by the prestigious publisher Castle Connolly in all of its editions of "America's Top Doctors" 2001-2012 (top 1% of specialists nationwide) and "Chicago's Top Doctors" 2001-2012. Ladies' Home Journal and Chicago Magazine have repeatedly chosen him as one of America's ‘top infertility doctors'. Dr. Brian R. Kaplan

Dr. Kaplan completed both his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a two-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in Chicago. He has numerous published articles and has presented topics, nationally and internationally in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). He has been honored every year since 1999 by Castle Connelly on the list of "Best Doctors" in Chicago and America. Dr. Kaplan's passion and specialization involve the technologies related to IVF including third-party reproduction. Dr. Kaplan has one of the largest and most successful practices worldwide, including a large international patient base.


Dr. Kevin J. Lederer

Dr. Kevin Lederer is President & Managing Partner of FCI.  He served his residency at New York Medical College. He completed a prestigious fellowship at the University of Medicine & Dentistry in New Jersey.  Dr. Lederer was a full time faculty member & Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Connecticut.  He is board-certified.  Dr. Lederer has been an FCI physician since 1995.  He has published numerous articles and presented at national conferences.  He was honored to be a scientific reviewer for the American Society of Reproductive Medicine national meeting.  Dr. Lederer intimately understands the overwhelming emotional and financial burdens of fertility treatments.   Insurance coverage for treatment is inconsistent.  He focuses on providing the most cost effective treatment available.  He works closely with his team to offer compassionate individualized care based on their unique circumstances.


Dr. Aaron S. Lifchez
Oakbrook Terrace  |  Chicago/River North

Dr. Lifchez completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, IL. Following his residency, he completed a two-year preceptorship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Lifchez is one of the founders of FCI, serving many years as the managing partner. He currently serves as Medical Director of FCI's Center for Third-Party Reproduction. Having relinquished many of his administrative responsibilities, he now enjoys spending more time giving his patients the individual attention he believes they deserve. Dr. Lifchez’s special interests include Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Collaborative Reproduction through IVF. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and is widely published in the field of reproductive medicine.


Dr. Edward L. Marut
Highland Park  |  Chicago/River North

Dr. Marut is the Medical Director of FCI's Highland Park IVF Center. After graduating from Boston College and the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Marut served his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco, leading to lifetime Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was awarded the National Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and completed the fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He subsequently also achieved lifetime Board Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Marut was then appointed Director of IVF and Reproductive Endocrinology at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, and has held medical faculty positions at both, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Marut has been honored annually by numerous consumer groups, is a frequent lecturer and consultant, and has authored many scientific publications. His clinical and research interests include IVF in the older, poor prognosis, and high-risk female populations, pregnancy loss, and preimplantation genetics.


Dr. Jane M. Nani
Lindenhurst  |  Hoffman Estates

Dr. Nani is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She then completed a two-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Hospital/ Harvard Medical School in Boston. She has presented numerous scientific papers at national meetings including the Presidential Plenary Talk at the Society for Gynecologic Investigation in 1997. Dr. Nani then returned to the Chicago area where she has been active in the clinical practice of reproductive medicine for the past several years. Her professional interests include Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and hysteroscopic surgery.


Dr. John J. Rapisarda

With over twenty years of clinical experience, Dr. Rapisarda is highly regarded for his ability to listen to and understand patients' needs.  He reserves ample time for appointments, to fully devote himself to each patient and is dedicated to providing individualized care that maximizes successful outcomes. After graduating with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology in Chicago and then became an Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at the University of Chicago. Dr. Rapisarda has been selected by Chicago Magazine and US News and World Report as one of Chicago's Best Doctors for Women, and most recently received the 2011 Patient's Choice Award, recognizing his commitment to patient care. His professional interests include IVF, decreased ovarian reserve, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and recurrent miscarriages.


Dr. Christopher S. Sipe

Dr. Christopher Sipe is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility, Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his residency training at Northwestern University, where he received numerous awards for excellence in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Following residency, Dr. Sipe started a successful Obstetrics and Gynecology practice and was chosen by Consumers' Research Council of America as one of "America's Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists." He completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Iowa. Dr. Sipe is well published and has presented at both national and international forums focusing on improving a couple's fertility. His clinical expertise encompasses infertility, menstrual irregularities, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Dr. Sipe's warm, engaging personality has been praised by patients, as has his excellence in personalized patient care.


Dr. Meike L. Uhler
Naperville  |  Oakbrook Terrace

Dr. Uhler is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University of California, Los Angeles. Most recently, Dr. Uhler was Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the faculty at Loyola University School of Medicine. Her research interests and scientific publications focus on the evaluation and treatment of female and male infertility.


Third-Party Coordinators

Carrie Baab RN, B.S.N.

Carrie  Baab attended the College of Nursing at Rush University and graduated with her BSN in 1994. Prior to coming to FCI, Carrie worked at Illinois Masonic Medical Center as a staff and charge nurse on a busy Gynecological, EENT and 23-Hours Admissions unit. Carrie first joined the FCI nursing staff in 1997, where she has gained significant experience in caring for IVF patients at the Highland Park IVF Center. In 2000, she began working with recipients, egg donors and gestational carriers, and continues to tremendously enjoy this type of nursing.


Annette Escobar RN

Annette Escobar is the Third-Party Coordinator for the FCI Chicago/River North IVF Center. She started as a clinical nurse for Fertility Centers of Illinois and now works closely with our recipients, donors and gestational carriers. Annette joined FCI with a background in Labor, Delivery and Post-Partum from Swedish Covenant and Weiss Memorial Hospital. She earned a degree from Truman College School of Nursing in Illinois. Annette enjoys her new role and finds gratification in helping couples build their families.


Caryl Markus R.N., A.D.N.

attended Moraine Valley Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1996. Prior to coming to FCI, Caryl worked as the clinical supervisor for a busy obstetrics and gynecology office in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She joined our nursing staff in 2005, bringing over 6 years of obstetrics and gynecological nursing experience to FCI. After 4 years of IVF/IUI clinical nursing, Caryl has recently transitioned into the position of Third-Party Coordinator for Fertility Centers of Illinois - Highland Park IVF Center. Caryl takes great pride in her nursing role and looks forward to helping FCI patients as they receive fertility treatment.


Marianne Pieprznik M.A., B.A.

Marianne Pieprznik serves as a Third-Party Coordinator for FCI's Highland Park IVF Center. She has been part of the FCI staff since 2004. She graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her passion is women's health in which she has significant knowledge having worked in Labor and Delivery and a Family practice clinic for numerous years. Marianne feels this is the most rewarding part of her career and takes pride in helping make a difference in her patients' lives.


Fertility Counselors

Ariadna Cymet Lanski Psy.D

Dr. Ariadna Cymet Lanski is a clinical psychologist who offers psychological services to meet the unique needs of individuals and couples coping with fertility challenges. She leads FCI's Women's Support Group, provides consultation during various stages of fertility treatment and conducts egg donor assessments.Dr. Cymet Lanski's clinical practice specializes in reproductive health issues -from preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum adjustment to parenthood.  Dr. Cymet Lanski helps patients to manage stress and feel empowered about their choices.Dr. Cymet Lanski is a graduate of the Universida De Las Mareicas (BA in Psychology) and Illinois School of Professional Psychology (M.A., Psy.D. in clinical psychology). She completed her doctoral internship at Illinois Masonic Behavioral Health, and received post-internship training at Swedish Covenant Hospital, and postdoctoral training at Chicago's Institute for Psychoanalysis.


Marie Davidson Ph.D.

Marie Davidson, Ph.D. has been involved in counseling prospective surrogates, donors, and patients for almost 20 years. Dr. Davidson is a licensed clinical psychologist, having earned her doctoral degree at the University of Illinois. For the last 10 years, she has concentrated on counseling individuals and couples who are coping with infertility. She facilitates patient education seminars on these topics, leads several support groups, is widely published in the fertility field and has been an invited speaker at many professional meetings.


Donor Coordinators

Melissa Braden

Melissa Braden is the Donor Program Coordinator for the Fertility Centers of Illinois in-house Egg Donor Program. She has been a part of FCI since 2009. Her role includes: pre-screening egg donors, working with recipients to choose their perfect donor, and coordinating matches until they are ready to begin working with FCI Third-Party Coordinators. Melissa’s passion for Egg Donation started when she was an egg donor herself in 2006. She then joined a local Chicago agency, where she worked with many donors and recipients to coordinate numerous egg donations. Melissa brings expertise to her position and thoroughly enjoys helping FCI patients build new families.


Julie Wiese R.N., B.S.N

Julie Wiese attended Elmhurst College School of Nursing in Illinois and graduated in 1999 from the R.N. B.S.N. program. She has experience in Labor and Delivery high risk nursing, post-partum and ante-partum nursing. She has years of infertility nursing experience which include experience in IVF procedural nursing, male infertility procedure case coordinator, clinical nurse coordinator, and currently in the position of Third-Party Reproduction nurse coordinator at Fertility Centers of Illinois, Chicago/River North IVF Center. She is resourceful with the FDA tissue guidelines and has contributed to FCI programs and outside advisory groups regarding topics of third-party reproduction. For Julie, the virtually limitless possibilities to assist patients to achieve parenthood with all the joy it brings to them, leads to heartfelt devotion in this specialty area of nursing.
